Job Description:

Delivery Driver/Merchandiser & Production Assistant

This employee is responsible for loading & driving the company vehicle with coffee, tea, & other products in order to make store deliveries on a weekly basis. The job entails visiting select supermarkets within the region to stock shelves & displays, rotate products, clean bins, and ensure proper brand presentation. This employee also works as an operations assistant in the coffee & tea production facility.

1. DELIVERY DUTIES

a. Load and unload the company van with product

b. Drive the company vehicle safely from the coffee plant to specific stores around the region making products deliveries

c. Map out routes as efficiently as possible

d. Visit supermarkets at least once per week to check stock levels and replenish products

e. Replenish & merchandise shelves & displays with the proper coffees/teas, signage, etc.

f. Accurately count and record coffees

g. Work within the confines of the grocery stores’ delivery schedules and adhere to their guidelines

h. Build relationships with store managers and staff and address any concerns or questions they may have

2. PLANT/ROASTERY DUTIES

a. Pack coffee in bulk & retail bags using bulk weigher, retail packaging machine, & manual scale

b. Hand label and date coffee packaging & tea tins

c. Label, seal & box all packages. Help ensure readiness of all for pick-up and shipment via UPS, USPS, Upper Vally & others

d. Help make Caff-Draft and clean afterwards

e. Perform on-going cleaning & maintenance around the facility as directed

f. Collect and handle garbage, breakdown boxes, and handle recycling

3. REQUIREMENTS

a. A driver’s license & clean driving record a must

b. Frequent standing, bending, twisting are expected

c. Must be able to easily lift 50 lbs.

d. Should be comfortable lifting and moving multiple product cases throughout the day

e. Participate collaboratively within a team environment
