This rare variety is grown in Al-Hayma, a region of Yemen on the outskirts of Sana'a in a particularly arid and harsh mountainous climate. Grown at a staggering elevation, the coffee cherries are collected at their peak of ripeness. Then a meticulous slow drying process occurs with a resting period of 1 - 2 months. We source this special mico-lot through Royal Mocha, who among other things, aid & support Yemeni women in the coffee business.
